Operating Funds:
Philanthropic donations to Iowa Legal Aid extend the organization’s ability to meet the needs of the thousands of Iowans turned away or underserved annually due to a lack of resources. Such donations may be restricted to a specific program of the donor’s choosing, or may be left to be applied where the need is greatest. Iowa Legal Aid Endowment:
Because Iowa Legal Aid’s sources of funding are subject to significant fluctuations, particularly in volatile economies, the organization is building an endowment to ensure more consistency in funding, which would reduce temporary shortfalls and remove the need for periodic staff reduction and, therefore, reductions in service that accompany those periods of reduced funding.

Endow Iowa: The Iowa Legal Aid Foundation participates in the Endow Iowa tax credit program as a means to contribute to the Iowa Legal Aid Endowment. Click here to learn more about Endow Iowa.
