Endowed Gifts – The Iowa Legal Aid Foundation has established two funds for endowed gifts.
- Endow Iowa – Financial contributions can also be made on behalf of the Iowa Legal Aid Foundation through the Endow Iowa Tax Credit program. The Endow Iowa Tax Credit Program was established in 2003 to encourage individuals, businesses and organizations to make lasting investments when they establish permanent, endowed funds during their lifetime. Those who give through Endow Iowa may be able to take advantage of a 25 percent Endow Iowa state income tax credit as well as federal income tax deductions for charitable gifts. To make Endow Iowa donations on behalf of Iowa Legal Aid you should send a check made out to the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation, 324 3rd Street SE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52401 and note that the donation is for the Iowa Legal Aid Foundation. - Other Endowment – If you want to make an endowed gift and are not interested in qualifying for the Endow Iowa Tax Credit, you should make your check out to the “Iowa Legal Aid Foundation” and send it directly to the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation.
